The business management curriculum at Curry College will prepare you for success in a variety of business-related careers. It looks at contemporary issues unique to the organisation of work within services, including management approaches to control, the interaction between customer and service provider at the point of delivery and the role of aesthetics in service provision.
The Work Placement Year module is a full year 120 credit module available on degree courses which include a work placement year which is taken as an additional year of study between levels 5 and 6. The placement consists of 48 weeks of full time work experience in a host organisation which is relevant to your studies.
The paper is also designed to direct the students study of the specific project management knowledge areas (based on the PMBOK) and the various project management processes and, with the help of practical examples and assignments, to enable the student to apply the skills the student needs in order to perform more effectively in project environments.
If you wish to advance into a management role in your organization or further your management skills as they apply to staff, effective decision making, strategic communication, and more you should consider the Organizational Leadership program in addition to your your bachelor’s degree major or as a certificate of completion.
Upon successful completion of this degree, students should have acquired and enhanced their knowledge and understanding of a wide range of management issues, including harnessing technology effectively, leading and managing people, leading change, managing creativity and innovation, markets and resources, managing in the global business environment, strategic management, and working in teams.
