The Business Management Technical Certificate (T.C.) program provides a specialized skill set that includes basic business concepts, management techniques accounting functions, software programs and marketing principles. The functions of management are to set goals and deciding strategies by which these goals could be achieved, by deciding on how things would be done and dividing those into tasks and responsibilities, by controlling the path of the organization on which it moves, to ensure that things are been done the right way and effectively by the right communication and co-ordination between people, finding weaknesses and resolving them, motivating workers and making the best possible decisions.
Purpose: The purpose of the module is to equip learners with knowledge and skills related to the theoretical concepts and practical skills of the strategic role of production and operations management; including further aspects with regard to the design, planning and control, and improvement of the production/operations management system in organisations.
Recent careers activities in the School of Business and Management include QConsult, a 6 week project where groups of students act as consultants for real clients, on-site visits to RBS finance department, HR and banking mentoring from professionals, in-curriculum CV training, and fortnightly workshops training students in job search and recruitment skills.

Process architecture – is the structural design of general process systems and applies to fields such as computers (software, hardware, networks, etc.), business processes (enterprise architecture, policy and procedures, logistics, project management, etc.), and any other process system of varying degrees of complexity.
