International business covers cross-border trade, international investment and offshore sourcing. Using case studies and actual entrepreneurial ventures, students explore entrepreneurship with a focus on leadership, marketing, development, management, and growth of new business ventures. This is done by analysing the business environment, which is the core of this programme.

In particular, you will study how and why companies choose to operate internationally, the entry strategies available to them, globalisation and the international marketing environment. This course is designed to introduce the business world of smart phone applications and provide an overview of recent and near-future developments in the realm of mobile technology.
You will learn from experts in their fields who will teach you about business techniques and current thinking in business-related subjects. During just one additional year, you will undertake more international business courses, have the option to work towards a university degree and pursue professional designations (CITP), and gain work experience before graduation.
Our program will provide you with the broad perspective and understanding needed to develop a successful career in business here in Canada and anywhere around the world. After graduation, it is expected that a significant number of students will pursue the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation indicating their commitment to the new profession of international trade.
International Business is pursued in conjunction with one of the other nine options available through the BCom program. Poor business environment contributes to job losses, business failure, low quality of life, and a low standard of living. If you studied a Language module in Year 1, you may wish to study a further Language module in Year 2. This would form an integral part of your degree in place of one of the optional modules above.
Native speakers of a foreign language are not permitted to take courses in that language/culture for credit towards the major. An associate’s degree in international business will get you started on your way, but a bachelor in international business will give you an additional edge.
I applied for at least 80 different jobs and I had 5 interviews before being offered my first job. Access to Higher Education Diploma Complete and pass Access to Business or related subject course with 45 credits at Level 3 Distinction. This is a four year degree and includes a year on placement or studying abroad as an integral part of the course.
It is however possible to transfer completed course components to your new degree programme (provided they are part of the curriculum there), and apply for an exemption for those components.
